Hi, I’m Chelsie. I support adults, couples, and families in healing from developmental trauma, attachment wounds, chronic stress, and the emotional roots of chronic illness. I specialize in helping my clients untangle perfectionism and self-doubt, reconnect with their bodies, and create secure, fulfilling relationships—with others and with themselves.
At the heart of my work is a deep belief that healing is possible. When we slow down, listen to the body, and tend to the places we've abandoned or been wounded, transformation happens. I provide a grounded, compassionate space where vulnerability is honored and all parts of you are welcome.
Codependency & Boundaries
Many of us have been taught—explicitly or implicitly—that our worth is tied to how well we care for others. We suppress our own needs, prioritize everyone else, and end up feeling drained, resentful, or invisible. The pattern of self-abandonment can feel “normal,” especially if we never had healthy models of mutual care.
I help my clients identify their needs, clarify their values, and learn how to express themselves clearly and confidently. We explore what it looks like to set and maintain boundaries that feel empowering, not guilt-inducing. Boundary work can be uncomfortable at first, and I walk beside my clients through those tender moments so they never feel alone in the process.
Inner Child & Reparenting Work
Every one of us carries a younger version of ourselves inside—often wounded, silenced, or unseen. The voice of the inner child shows up in moments of insecurity, fear, and shame, often repeating messages we internalized long ago. These early imprints shape how we see ourselves and how we show up in relationships.
Through inner child work, I support clients in giving voice to these younger parts and honoring their pain with compassion and attunement. We explore unmet needs and gently begin the process of reparenting—offering the care, safety, and love that may have been missing. This is sacred work that often leads to profound shifts in self-worth, resilience, and relational capacity.
Trauma Healing & Nervous System Support
Trauma isn’t just what happened—it’s how our nervous system responded when it didn’t feel safe or supported. Trauma can live in the body long after the event is over, leading to symptoms like anxiety, hypervigilance, depression, emotional numbness, or difficulty connecting with others.
I help clients work through trauma not only cognitively, but somatically—supporting the body in releasing what’s been stored and restoring a sense of inner safety. I’m trained in Transforming Touch®, Mind, Body, Spirit Release, Safe and Sound Protocol, Rest and Restore Protocol—modalities that repair early developmental ruptures by working directly with the nervous system. These methods help build regulation, capacity, and connection so clients can move out of survival mode and into wholeness.
Chronic Illness & Integrative Healing
Chronic illness is often a manifestation of the body carrying too much for too long—unprocessed trauma, emotional suppression, toxic stress, or environmental burdens. If you’re struggling with “mystery symptoms,” autoimmune issues, or ongoing fatigue and pain that don’t seem to resolve with conventional care, you’re not alone.
I support clients in exploring the emotional, energetic, and nervous system roots of chronic illness. Using a holistic approach that includes trauma healing, nervous system regulation, emotional release, and education around nutrition and environmental health, we work together to bring the body back into balance. My training in muscle testing allows us to assess what’s impacting your system—from pathogens and toxins to emotional blocks—and support your healing at a foundational level.
This work is gentle but powerful, and helps clients reconnect with their body as a wise, trustworthy guide—not a battleground. It’s possible to feel better in your body, even if you’ve been sick for a long time.
How I Help
My role is to walk with you—to witness, guide, and gently challenge—so you can reclaim the parts of yourself you’ve lost along the way. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation, and I offer a relational space where you can be deeply seen, heard, and supported. Whether we’re working through betrayal trauma, perfectionism, chronic illness, or childhood wounds, I hold the vision that you are already whole—and together, we help you live from that truth.
I use a blend of experiential psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, somatic work, and energy-based practices tailored to your unique needs. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in both clinical training and lived experience.
As someone who is actively on her own healing journey, I know what it means to move from survival into thriving. I know how hard it is to let go of perfectionism and start honoring your truth. And I also know that joy, freedom, and connection are not only possible—they’re your birthright.
Credentials & Background
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo and am dually licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. I bring experience from child welfare, school social work, and outpatient mental health settings working with children, teens, and adults.
In addition to my advanced training in Transforming Touch® and Mind, Body, Spirit Release®, I integrate trauma-informed modalities such as experiential psychotherapy, inner child healing, Safe and Sound Protocol, Rest and Restore Protocol and nervous system regulation practices into my work.
A Little More About Me
I’m a wife and mother of two energetic boys who keep me both grounded and on my toes. I find joy in simple pleasures—laying in the sun with a good book, going on nature walks, playing sports, and experimenting in the kitchen with nourishing recipes. I have a passion for clean eating and love exploring the mind-body-spirit connection in both my personal and professional life.
If I hadn’t followed my heart into healing work, you’d probably find me running a bakery filled with delicious paleo sweets for people with food sensitivities—because everyone deserves to enjoy a treat without fear.
I’m continually deepening my own healing, growing through recovery from codependency and perfectionism, and learning what it means to live with alignment, authenticity, and joy. My clients’ journeys inspire me daily, and I feel honored to do this work.
