Restore Your Energy. Reconnect With Yourself.
Explore Reiki and Mind Body Spirit Release™ as complementary approaches to relaxation, energetic balance, self-awareness, and whole-person wellness.
Energy Healing
Create space for balance, connection, and deeper self-awareness.
Healing is not always something you can think your way through. Sometimes you need space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore the emotional and energetic patterns that may be influencing how you experience your life and your body. At Embodied Wholeness & Wellness, energy healing is a complementary approach to whole-person wellness that may incorporate Reiki and Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ (MBSR). While these approaches are different, both create space for greater awareness, relaxation, connection, and personal exploration. You don't have to know which approach you need before you begin.
What Is Energy Healing?
Energy healing is a complementary wellness approach that works from the perspective that our physical, emotional, mental, and energetic experiences are interconnected. Energy-based practices invite you to slow down and become more aware of your internal experience while creating space for relaxation, reflection, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself. At Embodied Wholeness & Wellness, energy healing may include either Reiki or Mind, Body, Spirit Release™, depending on your goals and what feels most supportive for you. This work is not about forcing a particular outcome. It is about creating a supportive environment in which you can slow down, listen inward, and explore what may be ready for greater awareness, release, or integration.
Two Approaches to Energy Healing
There isn't one right way to experience energy healing. Your needs, intentions, and preferences may make one approach feel more appropriate than another.
Reiki
Restorative • Gentle • Receptive
Reiki is a gentle practice that traditionally involves a practitioner placing their hands lightly on or just above the body. Sessions are generally quiet and relaxing, providing intentional space to rest, receive, and become more aware of your internal experience.
Mind, Body, Spirit Release™
Exploratory • Individualized • Muscle Testing-Based
Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ is a structured energy-based approach that incorporates applied kinesiology, or muscle testing, to explore emotional, energetic, and subconscious patterns. Sessions are more interactive and individualized, with the intention of identifying patterns that may feel unresolved or burdensome and working through a structured release process.
Reiki
Energy Healing for Emotional, Physical & Spiritual Reconnection
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on or hands-off energy healing practice that works with the body's subtle energy system to support balance, restoration, and a deeper sense of connection within yourself.
While many people experience Reiki as deeply relaxing, relaxation is only one part of the experience. Reiki can provide a space to release accumulated emotional and energetic tension, reconnect with yourself, and create greater internal spaciousness for healing and integration.
Reiki may be especially supportive when you feel emotionally overwhelmed, energetically depleted, disconnected from yourself, or as though you've been carrying more than your system knows how to process.
Reiki may support:
Emotional well-being
Reiki can provide a supportive space for emotional release, inner calm, and reconnection during periods of emotional or psychological strain. It may be particularly meaningful for people navigating experiences such as anxiety, low mood, grief, chronic stress, or the emotional aftermath of difficult or traumatic experiences, offering a gentle practice for receiving support and reconnecting with a sense of safety and inner balance. Reiki is offered as a complementary wellness practice rather than a treatment for mental health conditions, and may be used alongside appropriate psychotherapy, medical care, or other forms of support.
Physical and energetic restoration
When you've been living with prolonged stress, emotional strain, or the demands of daily life, you may feel depleted on multiple levels. Reiki offers an opportunity to pause, receive, and support your body's natural capacity for restoration and balance.
Energetic balance
Reiki works with the subtle energy system with the intention of restoring balance and supporting the natural flow of energy throughout the body. When energy feels blocked, stagnant, depleted, or out of balance, Reiki may help create space for those energetic patterns to shift and release. As the energy system becomes more balanced, clients may experience a greater sense of vitality, emotional ease, clarity, connection, and overall energetic well-being.
Spiritual connection
For those who experience spirituality as an important part of their lives, Reiki can provide space for reflection, inner connection, intuition, meaning, and a deeper sense of connection to something larger than yourself.
Integration and inner connection
Reiki can be particularly valuable during periods of transition, emotional growth, or personal transformation when you're integrating new awareness and developing a different relationship with yourself.
Reiki is not about forcing change. It is about creating space for you to receive, reconnect, and allow your own healing process to unfold.
What a Reiki session may feel like
Every experience is different. Some people experience profound relaxation or warmth, while others notice emotional shifts, changes in bodily sensations, imagery, memories, feelings of spaciousness, or a sense of energetic movement. You don't need to have a particular experience for Reiki to be meaningful. You simply arrive as you are, and the session provides space to receive.
Mind Body Spirit Release
Holistic Healing for Emotional, Physical, and Nervous System Balance
At Embodied Wholeness, I understand that healing isn’t one-dimensional. It isn’t just about the physical body, nor is it only about your emotions or thoughts. Deep, lasting transformation occurs when we address the full spectrum of who you are including your mind, your body, and your spirit. That’s why I offer Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ (MBSR) which is a powerful and deeply integrative energy healing modality that gently helps you release subconscious imprints and energetic blocks that may be keeping you stuck, sick, or disconnected.
As a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Academy of Drugless Practitioners, I support this work with a whole-person approach, addressing emotional, energetic, and physical contributors to imbalance so healing can occur on every level.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, OCD, addictions, relationship challenges, or an ongoing sense that something feels “off,” Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ helps address the root cause, not just the symptoms.
What Is Mind, Body, Spirit Release™?
Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ is a gentle yet profound method of identifying and clearing unresolved energetic imprints stored in the subconscious mind and nervous system. These imprints are often the result of past traumas, emotional wounds, generational patterns, or limiting beliefs that continue to influence your mental, emotional, and physical well-being without your conscious awareness.
Using applied kinesiology (muscle testing), I access the body’s innate wisdom to identify energetic stressors, including:
Unresolved trauma
Suppressed emotions
Negative thought loops
Ancestral wounds
Pathogens and toxins
Spiritual or energetic interference
Once identified, I gently clear these imprints using a combination of intentional breathwork, visualization, and energy work, allowing the nervous system to re-regulate, the mind to find clarity, and the body to begin healing on a cellular level.
Because mind, body, and spirit are deeply interconnected, sessions may also reveal physical or biochemical stressors impacting your system. Through my training as a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, I may offer holistic wellness support, including education and recommendations for supplements or homeopathic remedies when appropriate. This is always guided by what emerges in the MBSR process.
Why Subconscious Healing Is Essential
Most of what influences how we feel and behave doesn’t live in the conscious mind, it lives deep in the subconscious. These hidden programs can show up as:
Repeating negative thought patterns (“I’m not good enough”)
Self-sabotage
Chronic physical symptoms with no medical explanation
Emotional reactivity
Addictive behaviors
Feeling “stuck” no matter how hard you try to change
Talk therapy, while incredibly supportive, often can’t access the subconscious level where many of these issues originate. Similarly, conventional medicine may address physical symptoms without ever touching the emotional or energetic roots. This is where MBSR shines.
MBSR speaks the language of the subconscious mind and body. It bypasses the analytical mind and taps into the body's intelligence, helping you release blocks you didn’t even know were there but have been affecting you for years.
Who Is MBSR For?
This holistic healing modality is ideal for clients seeking emotional, physical, and spiritual healing, particularly when traditional approaches haven’t gotten to the root.
MBSR may be right for you if you are:
Dealing with anxiety or depression that feels stuck in your body or nervous system
Experiencing OCD, addictive tendencies, or compulsive behaviors
Struggling with physical symptoms like chronic pain, fatigue, autoimmunity, or digestive issues
Trying to heal from trauma or adverse childhood experiences
Feeling disconnected from your emotions, intuition, or body
Repeating toxic relationship patterns or having difficulty setting boundaries
Longing to feel more joy, alignment, and spiritual connection
Feeling like something is “off,” but you can’t quite name it
If you've ever said to yourself, “I’ve done the work, but I still feel stuck,” MBSR may be the missing piece.
How MBSR Works in Session
Each MBSR session begins with muscle testing to assess what’s ready to be released from your system. We may test for:
Emotions like grief, guilt, shame, or fear
Belief systems such as “I’m unworthy” or “It’s not safe to be seen”
Generational patterns or family conditioning
Body system imbalances or energetic stagnation
Energetic toxins, pathogens, or environmental stressors
Once these imprints are identified, we move into the release process using specific clearing statements, intentional breathwork, and supportive energy tools. You’ll remain fully clothed and relaxed throughout, often lying down or seated comfortably.
Clients frequently report feeling lighter, calmer, more clear, and more connected to themselves immediately after a session and notice physical, emotional, and behavioral shifts over time.
When indicated, sessions may also include holistic wellness guidance. As a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (AADP), I may recommend supportive supplements, homeopathic remedies, or lifestyle practices to help integrate energetic shifts and support nervous system regulation and overall well-being.
The Power of Energetic Clearing
When energetic blocks are removed from the nervous system and subconscious mind, healing flows more freely. MBSR can help your body re-regulate and rebalance, so that:
Chronic inflammation begins to calm
The nervous system returns to a regulated state of safety
Addictive impulses begin to dissolve
Relationships become more conscious and connected
Confidence and self-worth grow
Spiritual connection deepens
This is healing from the inside out, not just symptom management.
MBSR for Physical Healing
For clients coming to Embodied Wholeness with physical health concerns, MBSR is a key complement to functional and integrative medicine. Chronic illness is often the result of not only physical imbalances but also energetic stagnation and emotional suppression.
MBSR works alongside physical healing protocols to clear the body of stored stress, emotions, and toxins that can disrupt the immune system, digestive system, hormonal balance, and cellular repair. When the nervous system is regulated and subconscious patterns are no longer running in the background, the body has the safety it needs to heal and repair itself naturally.
MBSR for Food Sensitivities
Healing Food Sensitivities at the Root
Food sensitivities are not always just about what you eat, they are often deeply connected to emotions, beliefs, and energetic imprints held in your body and subconscious. Many clients come in with physical symptoms such as bloating, skin reactions, headaches, digestive distress that seem to have a dietary trigger. Yet, even after changing diet, taking supplements, doing elimination diets, or following medical advice, the sensitivities persist or shift to another food.
This is where Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ can make a difference. By gently identifying and releasing the emotional and subconscious roots of food sensitivities, MBSR helps the body restore balance and resilience.
The Emotional & Energetic Roots of Food Sensitivity
Stored Emotions and Wound Patterns – Feelings such as fear, shame, guilt, grief, or rejection often become lodged in the body, particularly in the gut, immune system, or skin. Certain foods may then act as triggers, not because of the food itself, but because of the emotional stress linked to it.
Subconscious Beliefs – Beliefs like “I am not safe,”“I must hold back,” or “I don’t deserve nourishment” can quietly influence the body’s reactivity. Even if you don’t consciously think these thoughts, your body remembers them.
Ancestral & Generational Patterns – Sometimes sensitivities are inherited energetically. Imprints from family experiences with scarcity, rejection, or illness can be carried forward and impact how your body responds today.
How MBSR Supports Healing From Food Sensitivities
MBSR helps identify not only the foods connected to sensitivities, but also the underlying emotional or belief-based stressors that amplify them.
Releasing Emotional Imprints – With gentle clearing techniques, emotions, beliefs, or ancestral patterns tied to gut imbalances and food sensitivities can be released helping the body let go of unnecessary reactivity.
Regulating the Nervous System – Food sensitivities often flare in an overactive nervous system. MBSR helps bring your system back to a state of safety, where digestion, immune balance, and inflammation can naturally reset.
Accessing the Subconscious – Because food reactions often stem from subconscious programs rather than conscious choice, MBSR is uniquely designed to reach and clear what traditional nutrition or medical interventions cannot.
What Clients Notice
Clients who address food sensitivities through MBSR often report:
Less digestive distress, bloating, or skin reactions.
Reduced fear or anxiety around eating.
A calmer, more balanced relationship with food.
Greater resilience and being able to tolerate foods they once avoided.
A deeper sense of safety, nourishment, and trust in their body.
Is This Right for You?
MBSR may support your healing if:
You’ve tried elimination diets or medical interventions but still experience persistent food sensitivities.
You feel a strong emotional or stress connection to how your body reacts to food.
You’ve noticed flare-ups are worse when you’re under emotional strain or trauma triggers.
You long to feel nourished, safe, and free in your body without fear around food.
Disclaimer
Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ is a complementary modality designed to address the emotional and energetic root causes of food sensitivities. It is not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. MBSR does not replace medical care, dietary guidance, or allergy testing from your healthcare provider.
Importantly, MBSR is not designed to clear or heal life-threatening food allergies (such as anaphylaxis). If you have known severe allergies, you must continue to avoid those foods and follow your doctor’s medical advice and emergency plan.

A Note About Energy Healing
Energy healing services are offered through Embodied Wholeness & Wellness as complementary wellness services and are separate from my LCSW psychotherapy practice. Reiki and Mind, Body, Spirit Release™ are not substitutes for psychotherapy, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment. Energy healing practices have varying levels of scientific evidence, and experiences can differ from person to person. Reiki in particular has not been clearly shown to be effective for specific health conditions, and there is currently no scientific evidence establishing the energy field proposed by Reiki theory. If you have a medical or mental health condition, please continue working with an appropriately licensed healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment.
You Don't Have to Know Exactly What You Need.
Sometimes the first step isn't finding the perfect modality. It's creating enough space to listen to yourself. Whether you are drawn to the quiet restoration of Reiki, the exploratory nature of Mind, Body, Spirit Release™, or a combination of approaches within your wellness journey, we can begin where you are.
